WavistrongTM Fibermar FR

WavistrongTM FibermarTM is a Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) pipe system which has been especially developed for use in Marine vessels.

Continued replacement and dry dock expenses mean that traditional steel pipe systems can end up costing more than three times the initial investment. FIBERMARTM is guaranteed to last the lifetime of the ship and has been designed in accordance with IMO Resolution 753 (18) – the guideline for the application of plastic pipes on ships.

FIBERMARTM is available in diameters of up to 1,600 mm, pressures up to 16 Barg and external collapse pressures of up to 50 meters water column. It can be purchased in either the standard or electrically conductive series which eliminates the danger of static electricity build-up associated with the transportation of products like petrol and kerosene. Fibermar is ideal for conductive applications such as cargo tanks and in pump rooms and other hazardous areas.

The FIBERMARTM pipe system has passed numerous fire tests successfully and meets IMO fire endurance level 3. For machinery spaces where low flame spread is required, Future Pipe Industries has developed FIBERMARTM FR which meets the requirements for low flame spread according to IMO Resolution A.653(16).
