Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)

Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) will play a vital role in fighting climate change, both in industrial decarbonisation and energy transition. FPI GRE-RTR piping and pipeline solutions provide exceptional corrosion, low temperature and permeation resistance making it the ideal material of choice for both gaseous and supercritical CO2 transmission applications. Those non-metallic piping and pipeline systems have exceptionally low carbon footprint values per meter when compared with steel alternatives, thus contributing to the decarbonation of the operations.

Our Expertise

01

Exceptional low temperature capability.

In the event of a rapid decompression the pipeline can be subjected to extremely low temperatures. FPI GRE-RTR low temperature resistance combined with its filament wound construction prevents running brittle fracture failures.

Eliminates corrosion

Being non-metallic FPI GRE-RTR is not subject to corrosion due to the potential for contamination within the process stream. The inherent corrosion resistance enables reduced drying and pretreatment requirements compared to carbon steel lines.

Permeation resistance

FPI GRE-RTR provides high permeation resistance and is unaffected by supercritical CO2 therefore when combined with its temperature and corrosion resistance makes it the ideal material of choice for CO2 piping and pipeline applications.
